Expanded Polystyrene or trademarked name, STYROFOAM, is an extremely lightweight product that is made of expanded polystyrene beads which is produced though polymerization of styrene monomer. EPS is one type of this polymer characterized by its increase in volume when exposed to heat. The expandability is caused by uniform distribution of hydrocarbon agent, like Pentane, within EPS structure. It used for construction, insulation, packing, etc.
